Morning Applications

Start your morning by spreading a thin layer of the Natural Fruit Exfoliator over your scar. Massage into the visible area for 1-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
The exfoliator is a key step because it helps remove the unhealthy skin cells over scar tissue. This helps stimulate the healthy surrounding tissue to replicate and replace the top layer of skin. It also enables the Ultimate Scar Care Cream to penetrate more deeply into scar tissue for better results.
Evening Applications
The Ultimate Scar Care Cream
The Ultimate Scar Care Cream is designed to provide your skin with the nourishment hydration it needs to create new healthy new skin cells.
For best results, we recommend the application of the Ultimate Scar Care Cream twice a day. Once in the morning after rinsing off the exfoliator and once in the evening. Taking just a few minutes in the evening to reapply the cream will support the renewal of your skin throughout the night.
Night Application
Silicone Sheets
The Silicone Scar Sheets provide the perfect amount of compression to help your scar heal throughout the night. It only takes a quick minute to apply the silicone sheet to your dry scar prior to going to bed. The silicone sheets are flexible and comfortable, you won’t even notice it’s there.
The silicone sheets can be used repeatedly, so please remember to store with the protective liner in the morning!

Why is Scarology better than other products on the market?
Scarology was created by husband and wife team, Dr. Michael Connor and Dr. Jeanmarie Connor, because the commercially available scar treatment products were not producing convincing improvements in the appearance of their patients’ scars. Scarology was designed from the ground up to be different than any other scar treatment product available on the market today. Scarology’s innovative approach combines a gentle exfoliator, a rejuvenating scar care cream and compressive silicone sheets to produce meaningful results, all within a simple day and night routine.
No other product has incorporated a gentle exfoliation step to aid in the reduction of old scars. Exfoliation procedures such as dermabrasion or laser resurfacing have been shown to be effective in improving the appearance of a scar but can cost thousands of dollars. Scarology’s Natural Fruit Acid Skin Exfoliator works on the scar over time and can be easily incorporated into your daily routine.
The nourishing and compressive effect of silicone sheets on scars has been well documented. Scarology’s self adhesive silicone sheet uses advanced patented silicone technology currently used in hospitals today.
Does Scarology work on old scars?
Scars from several years ago are the most difficult to treat and most likely will not change in appearance with topical silicone or onion extract alone. However, Scarology’s 3-part system is different. The Natural Fruit Acid Exfoliator will slowly stimulate the surface layer of the scar to remodel. As new surface layer skin cells are being laid down, the Ultimate Scar Cream, can nourish and soften the deep layers of the scar. No other scar treatment on the market provides gentle exfoliation. Scarology is the only commercially available product for scars that can reduce the visibility of old scars.
When can I start treating with Scarology?
The skin is very effective at healing itself. Following an injury, the skin immediately undergoes changes at the surface level to close the wound and inflammatory cells enter the deep tissue beneath the wound. Once the wound is closed and scabbing has subsided, the entire 3-step system can be used. Ask your doctor when it is safe to start treating your scar.
How long should I use Scarology?
A new scar will remodel over the course of a year and can change in appearance throughout one’s life. It is recommended that Scarology be used as long as the scar continues to show signs of improvement and for 3 months thereafter. We recommend using the system for at least one year for best results.
Can Scarology be used on pigmented skin?
Yes. Scarology can be used on all skin types. Even children can benefit as well. That being said, Scarology does not recommend the use of the Natural Fruit Acid Skin Exfoliator in children under 2 years of age.
Are all scars the same?
No. There are several types of scars. Any cut or break in the skin can leave a scar. Scarring may be better or worse than anticipated as healing is highly individualized. Both traumatic and surgical scars can result in a flat, pale scar or a hypertrophic (dark, thick or raised) scar.
Some skin types can keloid which is where the scar actually grows over the boundaries of the cut or wound due to extensive scar tissue. A wound with persistent inflammation in the deep layers such as acne or a chicken pox wound can result in a sunken-in or pitted appearance. Wounds that exist around a joint or heal with a lot of tension on either side can become widened over time due to several months of stretching.
Stretch marks are a common form of scar that can result from pregnancy or fluctuations in weight. In both instances, the skin is stretched faster than the natural remodeling of the skin.
Can Scarology be used on all scar types?
Yes. The Scarology scar care system can be effective at improving the appearance of any type of scar, old or new, including pale or thin scars, hypertrophic scars, keloids, burns, stretch marks and acne scars. Gentle exfoliation, scar therapy and compressive silicone therapy have been individually recommended for treating scars by doctors and physical therapists around the world for several years. Scarology has created the only system available that combines all three.
